A Pastor identified as Chinedu from Orifite in Anambra state, who was caught stealing a goat at Akukwa village in Igbo-Ukwu area of the state, was served a public humiliation.
The Pastor who was interrogated by the village’s vigilante members, disclosed that he owns a church known as Key of Life Ministries in Ozubulu town but came to Igbo-Ukwu for an engagement. He further confessed to stealing the goat, which he allegedly said he wanted to use for sacrifice.
Pastor Chinedu was beaten, tied up with the stolen goat and paraded round the village before he was handed over to the police.
The General Overseer of God’s Favour Ministry, Iba, Lagos State, Daniel Onwugbufor, was also arrested for alleged armed robbery few months ago.
He was arrested along with an accomplice, Israel Animashaun, by the police in Ogun State.
The
Ogun police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the two men were
arrested on February 1 by officials of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery
Squad, FSARS, led by Uba Adams. He said their arrest followed series of
car snatching report which the command had been investigating.
